Introduction

Bruschetta is a great way to serve impressive canapes.

Oven temperature

Oven temp: - 200°c/180°c fan – 400°f – Reg 6

Steps

Preparation

  1. Chop herbs

  2. Peel and mince garlic

Instructions

  1. Mix oil with prepared herbs garlic and seasonings.

  2. Slice, French bread – ciabatta, these make chunky bruschetta.

  3. Or with sliced bread trim off crusts and cut the slices into bite-size pieces – these are ideal for parties when you are juggling a glass of wine and a canape!

  4. With a pastry brush coat both sides of bruschetta with the herby oil.

  5. Place on a baking tray and cook for approximately 10 minutes – keep an eye on them so they do not overcook

Cooks tips

Such a great way to use up odd pieces of bread, you can prepare them and then freeze. They will be ready whenever you fancy. Just defrost and crisp up again in the oven for about 5 minutes.
