WINE AND FOOD PAIRING AT CARTE DU VIN

We are excited to announce that for our next online tasting we have Guy Webber the wine maker at Hill & Dale Vineyard in Stellenbosch South Africa.

Guy is considered one of South Africa’s Pinotage Masters with a personal tally of seven ABSA Top 10 wines, including a finalist for the Hill & Dale Pinotage 2002, and is passionate about this home-grown variety and considers it his absolute favourite.

He started his working career as a Trainee Technical Assistant with Gilbeys in Stellenbosch and then spent a further six years honing his winemaking skills at Clos Malverne Wine Estate. Over the years, he received his certificate in Wine Judging from the Cape Wine and Spirit Education Trust and became a member of various wine tasting clubs and committees.

They have proved very successful and informative and being joined by experts from South Africa is a bonus!

The price is £65 per pack

Here is a testimonial from a previous evening

" Awesome evening tasting wine after being shipped a half case of wonderful wines. Great lockdown therapy. Now time to order some special South African wines! "

As we all know due to COVID there have been a lot of hardships around the world.

The South African wine industry has suffered more than most as their Government has stopped the sale of alcohol now on 3 separate occasions. The vineyard's revenue also relies on overseas visitors, who enjoy their tasting rooms and hospitality and due to travel restrictions this has ceased too!

We are proud to be supporting them in any way we can

Please join us for this Masterclass !
